What events does Pokémon GO bring in May? We show you all the dates you should keep in mind.
What does May bring for Pokémon GO? Quite a lot! As always, there are Spotlight Hours, Raid Hours, and a Community Day – as well as a Community Day Classic.
But the new month also has a few other events in store. For example, you can try to hatch Toxel again in the Growing-Up event. Additionally, the “Crown Clash” is coming, featuring the debut of Gladimperio.
Moreover, this new month is not an ordinary May, but a Macho-May – because we encounter the Gigantamax variant of Machomei. It should be quite strong but also difficult to obtain.

What are the highlights in May? As it currently stands, you should keep an eye on the following events:
- Gladimperio’s debut in the Crown Clash
- The battle against Gigantamax Machomei
- The takeover for the Crown Clash should again provide the opportunity to forget “Frustration”
- Selfe, Vesprit, and Tobutz in raids are a good opportunity for the rare Pokémon
- And Meikro returns as a Dynamax Pokémon. Great if you missed that so far.
