All events in May 2023 in overview
In May, you can expect five spotlight hours and five raid hours. In the raids, you will encounter Pokémon such as Genesect (Spark Module)*, Kapu-Kime*, Mega-Scizor, and Mega-Pinsir. Additionally, the five themed events “An Intuitive Hero”, “Raid Day”, “A Daring Hero”, “Top Raids”, a currently unknown event, and a Community Day will start.

Which events are particularly worthwhile in May 2023?
These could be worthwhile: Most events have been announced by Niantic without details, only by name. From the experiences of recent years, it already shows what could be good.
- An Intuitive Hero (2nd May to 8th May): The event has already been revealed by Niantic. One of the bonuses is an increased chance of Shinys when hatching 2-km, 5-km, or 10-km eggs. For the Shiny hunters among you, this could be a cool event. In addition, there are more XP and Stardust when hatching eggs.
- Mega-Pinsir (11th May to 24th May) and Mega-Altaria (24th May to 1st June): Mega-Pinsir will be the best bug attacker for raids after its release. Accordingly, many trainers are already looking forward to being able to enhance their collection with a powerful fighter. Mega-Altaria has not been active in Pokémon GO for a long time, and trainers are happy to finally have the chance to obtain the Pokémon again.
