Which events are particularly worthwhile in July?
Live and thematic events: In July, there will be two live events for GO Fest 2022, and there will also be various thematic events that you can participate in from anywhere. The following are particularly worthwhile:
- The Pokémon GO Fest in Berlin (July 1 – July 3): The live event for GO Fest represents one of the largest events in Pokémon GO in 2022. There will be numerous spawns and bonuses on site as well as the new Ultra Beast Schabelle announced. You may also meet one or two content creators for autograph sessions.
- Anniversary Event (July 6 – July 12): The exact contents of the event are still unknown, but the namesake event last year brought you some cool bonuses and quests. This year, you can further enhance the event with the help of the Hyper Bonuses for the GO Fest in Berlin, making it even better.
- Surprise Event (July 27 – August 2): Niantic has already provided initial hints about new Pokémon for this. For many players, this event will be interesting for that reason alone. However, which monsters will exactly be available remains to be seen. This event may possibly have something to do with the Pokémon that were recently found in the game code.
Raids: In July, you can encounter the legendary birds of the first game generation again in Level 5 Raids. Especially Lavados and Zapdos are strong Pokémon that are among the best attackers in Pokémon GO. Dialga will also return to Level 5 Raids. This is one of the best dragon attackers in the game.
Spotlight hours: In the spotlight hours, you should definitely secure Machop in July. This fighting Pokémon has a strong evolution into Machamp, which is among the best fighting attackers in the game.
If you are looking for a strong candidate for the Super League, you should mark the spotlight hour with Meditite in bold on your calendar. Its evolution Medicham is right there at the front.
The spotlight hour with Staryu is also the perfect opportunity to farm Stardust. This monster is one of the 22 Pokémon that gives you extra Stardust when caught.
