Which events are particularly worthwhile in August 2022?
Themed Events: So far, a few themed events are known, for which Niantic will provide more information later.
- Bug Tussle (from August 10 to August 16): This event is all about Bug Pokémon. At the same time, Genesect is also in the raids. All contents of Bug Tussle 2022.
- Event for the Pokémon World Championships (August 18 to August 23): For the first time, Pokémon GO is part of the World Championships. In the game, you will encounter NPCs that battle with teams of Championship winners. There are also special researches with promo codes.
- Final Event of GO Fest 2022 on August 27: This event is likely to be particularly interesting for many trainers. Niantic has already mentioned that you can expect a new special research and great Pokémon encounters. Anyone who purchased a ticket for the global event on June 4 and 5 can participate for free in the final event. Details will follow.
Raids: From July 31 to August 10, you will encounter Palkia in 5-star raids. Palkia is one of the best Dragon attackers in Pokémon GO and thus an important part of the collection for many trainers. For collectors, Genesect with its modules is of interest.
Spotlight Hours: Overall, the spotlight hours in August 2022 are not particularly exciting. For PvP players, Nidoran (f) and Wattzapf are still exciting candidates. The remaining Pokémon of the spotlight hours are not particularly interesting. In terms of dates, the bonuses are especially worthwhile.
