In Pokémon GO, a new event has been announced. And a part of the announcement might mean good news for players who see too few spawns.
In Pokémon GO, everything will soon revolve around the Unova region: At the beginning of March, the Unova Tour in Pokémon GO is taking place, and as a kickoff, the Way to Unova event has now also been announced.

And in this event, there is also an interesting announcement: Because apparently, trainers can expect to see more Pokémon appearing on their screens soon.
More Pokémon Soon Near You?
This is the announcement: In the Unova event announcement, there is also a section called “Update to Pokémon Encounters” – however, not in the German version, but in the English variant. Why this is currently missing from the German version is still unclear (via pokemongolive.com).
However, the update clarifies that more Pokémon are supposed to appear on the way to the Unova Tour. The Pokémon GO team writes about this on its blog:
With this update, Pokémon will appear in even more locations than before. In densely populated, rural, suburban, or rapidly expanding areas, this can increase the number of Pokémon encounters and the areas where Pokémon appear overall.

What does this mean? Further details are not yet known, but it is to be hoped that this primarily benefits players who lack spawns nearby. Especially trainers in rural areas without many PokéStops or gyms often miss numerous spawning Pokémon. It remains to be seen how significantly the change is noticeable, especially in such locations.
