The Adventure Week in Pokémon GO has started and brings various field research tasks and bonuses. We provide you with all the information.
How long does the event last? The Adventure Week runs until June 11 at 10 PM. During this time, you can catch more Rock-type Pokémon.
The event brings 7 new field research tasks. Additionally, there are 3 new Shinies to catch and various other bonuses.
Adventure Week 2019 – All Information
These quests you need to complete: In line with the event, there are 7 field research tasks revolving around the event Pokémon. Here is the list:
- Catch 5 Kabuto or Amonita
- Reward: Encounter with an Aerodactyl (can be Shiny)
- Catch 5 Stollunior
- Reward: 1 Metal Coat
- Evolve a Liliep or Anorith
- Reward: Encounter with an Onix (can be Shiny)
- Hatch 2 Eggs
- Reward: Encounter with a Liliep (can be Shiny) or 1 Rare Candy
- Earn 3 candies while walking with your buddy
- Reward: Encounter with an Anorith
- Spin 2 PokéStops that you have never visited
- Reward: Encounter with a Schilterus
- Spin 25 PokéStops
- Reward: Encounter with a Koknodon
The highlight for many players is the Koknodon quest. This Pokémon is the strongest Rock-type attacker in the game, which is why it is incredibly popular.
What other bonuses are there? The Adventure Week is worth it, as there are many bonuses to enjoy. These include:
- Your buddy earns Candy 4 times faster
- Every new PokéStop you spin gives you 10 times XP
- If you walk over 50 km in the entire week, Adventure Sync rewards you with 50,000 Stardust and 15 Rare Candies
- Rock-type Pokémon hatch more frequently from 2 km Eggs
- Rock-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild
What about Shinies? Players have already reported on all 3 new Shinies. You can find Anorith, Liliep, and Onix in the wild, in raids, from eggs, or from quests.
According to initial reports, Onix seems to have an increased Shiny chance. TheSilphRoad states that they encountered 8 Shinies out of 555 Onix encounters. This is significantly more than the usual 1 in 450 for normal Shinies in the wild.
This may have just been initial luck. It remains to be seen whether the Shiny rate is actually increased.
Are there also new raid bosses? The Adventure Week has also brought a slew of new raid bosses. A detailed list will be published soon on MeinMMO.
What other Pokémon are spawning? The wild is full of Rock-type Pokémon. You will not only encounter the new potential Shinies but also rare Pokémon like Larvitar or Koknodon.
A highlight is also the increased spawns of Kleinstein. It currently belongs to the rarest Shinies in the game.
During the Adventure Week, some players might also have issues with Adventure Sync:
