In Pokémon GO, many players are already looking forward to the new Mega Evolutions. A leak now gives fans hope that at least one Mega Monster will make an appearance soon.
This is what the spot is about: A few days ago, the new update 0.181.0 was mined. Among other things, they uncovered a new loading screen featuring various monsters, as well as houses and gardens.
Monsters such as Washakwil, Chansey, Latias, and Latios were visible. The setting with the houses reminded players of the pictures from the GO Fest. And if you look closely, far back over the roof of the house, you can see a small blue flame.
Is Mega Charizard coming soon?
Fans suspect: In the Pokémon GO subreddit, some fans suspect that a hidden Mega Charizard X is behind the flame. This dark-colored version of Charizard features a blue flame at the tip of its tail – and that might be what’s peeking out from behind the roof (via reddit).
- “[…]I think that’s the tail of a Mega Charizard,” said one user (via reddit).
- “I didn’t recognize that at all. But it could really be Mega Charizard X, it’s black with blue fire,” found another (via reddit).
However, there are other things in Pokémon GO that would match this form as well. For example, the flames of Skelabra, which has been in the game for a long time – so why hide?
It has happened before that Pokémon GO hides new features in the background of an image. For example, the Rocket Balloon silently flew through an image for the Spotlight Hour with Piepi.
These are Mega Evolutions: In June, Niantic announced that Mega Evolutions would come to Pokémon GO. They have existed since the 6th Pokémon generation and give Pokémon that can Mega Evolve a new appearance and new powers.
It is still unknown in what form the evolutions will come to the game. Recently, there was hope that they might come to the GO Fest – because even with all known info about the event, surprises are still expected for the fest. The loading screen would at least fit with the GO Fest.
