The Galar birds are among the rarest Pokémon in Pokémon GO. A player has now missed an encounter due to a silly feature.

The Galar birds in Pokémon GO are among the hardest monsters to catch in the game. This is due to three unpleasant characteristics:

• They are very, very rarely encountered. Even with the adventure incense.
• They have an extremely low catch rate. Many players therefore use the rare Master Ball to catch Galar birds.
• They have a high flee rate, causing them to disappear quickly during catching attempts.

That’s why stories are often shared when a catch actually works out. But one player has now explained that he missed the rare catch due to an annoying feature.

What exactly was the problem? The player explained that he had finally encountered a Galar Articuno using incense, but just as he was about to click on the bird, four eggs in his incubator started to hatch:

Players demand to be able to skip the hatching animation

Many players have long demanded to be able to skip the annoying animations. They just waste time and unnecessarily prolong the game. As someone writes in the thread:

No, I agree, it is absurd that they have all these completely unnecessary animations that you have literally seen a thousand times and that waste so much time and keep you from actually playing the game.

At least there is the option to speed up the hatching animation.

Another alternative would be to completely close the app on your phone. That would also end the animation. But that is probably not practical if you have a Galar bird right in front of you and don’t want to lose sight of it.
