In Pokémon GO you can catch some monsters only in specific locations. However, next week, two Pokémon will be available worldwide.
These are the Pokémon: Recently, a leak hinted that the two bugs Volbeat and Illumise might soon appear worldwide. With the new buddy event next week, this will indeed be the case: Both will be available everywhere for the event period from April 21 to April 27.
Catch Illumise and Volbeat – also as Shiny
What changes here: Normally, you can only catch one of both monsters in Germany – namely Volbeat. This is the regional Pokémon of this duo for Europe, Asia, and Oceania. Illumise is usually only found in North and South America as well as Africa.
So if you’re missing an Illumise in your collection, you can take the opportunity during the event. Both Pokémon are not significant in battles: They are not represented on the list of best PvP monsters, and you should prefer to use other Pokémon in raids and arenas. However, for the Pokédex, you should definitely catch at least one specimen if you don’t have them yet. Especially since the two bugs will return to their respective regions after the event.
Both monsters will be available for the first time, as many trainers have already suspected, also as Shiny. This should motivate many trainers who already have a Volbeat or Illumise to search and catch them.
How can you get Volbeat and Illumise? Both Pokémon can be caught in the wild. However, they also appear in eggs and can be rewards for field research. So it shouldn’t be too hard to secure the regional Pokémon.
