With the upcoming update, some Galar forms are likely to come to Pokémon GO. We’ll show you what the new versions look like.
These are Galar forms: The Galar forms are, similar to the Alola forms, new variants of already known Pokémon. The Galar forms come from the new namesake region in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
When will the Galar forms come? It’s still uncertain, but dataminers found hints in the data for update 0.159.0 about a total of three Galar forms. They could thus already come into play with the new update, which primarily brings more Team Rocket – at least if the leaks from the dataminers are accurate. We’ll show you here what the Galar versions look like.
Galar-Smogmog
This is Galar-Smogmog: Galar-Smogmog looks quite similar to its normal variant overall. However, the upper part of the two heads looks like two chimney-shaped hats. Naturally, smoke typical of Smogmog is billowing out from there. Additionally, more smoke clouds form a beard for the two Smogmog faces. The poison-type Pokémon will be of the Poison and Fairy type.
Galar-Zigzachs
This is Galar-Zigzachs: Galar-Zigzachs also resembles the already known version strongly, but it differs in coloration. In the official description from Sword & Shield, it is described as exceptionally quarrelsome. A star-shaped pattern forms around the eyes of Galar-Zigzachs. It will be of the Dark and Normal type.
Galar-Geradaks
This is what Galar-Geradaks looks like: Together with Galar-Zigzachs, Galar-Geradaks also receives a new form. This continues the style change from Zigzachs and looks overall a bit more aggressive than the normal version. Furthermore, Galar-Geradaks will be able to evolve into Barrikadax in Sword & Shield. However, nothing is known yet regarding Pokémon GO.
What about Galar-Ponita?
Galar-Ponita is missing: It is still uncertain whether the Galar version of Ponita will soon be available in Pokémon GO. It is certainly not part of the leaks found by the dataminers. The unicorn variant of the Fire Pokémon from the first generation will, by the way, have the Psychic type.
