In Pokémon GO the 2nd wave of the 5th generation is here, bringing many new monsters. However, there are still numerous missing Pokémon from the Unova region. We show you 7 really strong monsters.
This is what the list shows: Here we focus on the best Pokémon of the 5th generation that are not yet in the game. However, we only consider non-legendary monsters here. The legendary ones are released individually, while the other Pokémon are likely to appear in a future wave.
Recently, 17 new Pokémon from the 5th generation were added to the game.
The shown Pokémon are relevant in the PvE meta, meaning for gyms and raids. PvP is not taken into account here.
These are the 7 Pokémon you can look forward to
Place 7 – Caesurio: The Pokémon is of Steel and Dark type and has an interesting typing combination. Its stats are as follows:
- Attack value: 232
- Defense value: 176
- HP value: 163
- Maximum CP: 2844
Caesurio may not be the best attacker for any type, but it remains a solid alternative. Its typing combination makes it versatile, and its attack value is decent. However, its downside is its fragility. It is likely to be defeated quickly.
Place 6 – Washakwil: The eagle Pokémon not only looks really cool but also has solid stats. It is of Flying and Normal type and has the following values:
- Attack value: 232
- Defense value: 152
- HP value: 225
- Maximum CP: 3088
For a Flying Pokémon, Washakwil has really good stats. However, it currently learns mostly weak moves. One can hope that Niantic improves it before its release, making it a strong Flying attacker. Otherwise, it remains more of a solid alternative to monsters like Moltres or Corviknight.
Place 5 – Rabigator: The Pokémon of Dark and Ground type is one of the quirkiest Pokémon of the 5th generation. Its stats are quite solid:
- Attack value: 229
- Defense value: 158
- HP value: 216
- Maximum CP: 3046
Rabigator learns solid movesets for both Dark and Ground types and has a decent attack value. While it doesn’t reach the top attackers of its types, those who want to fight with a stylish alternative should consider using Rabigator.
Place 4 – Somnivora: The Psychic-type Pokémon is the only good defender from the 5th generation. Its stats speak for themselves:
- Attack value: 183
- Defense value: 166
- HP value: 253
- Maximum CP: 2723
Somnivora has a strong HP value, therefore it is good for gyms. Additionally, it possesses almost every attack that can pose a threat to the classic fighting attackers. As a Pokémon between slacking and Chansey in the gym, it would be a great choice.
Place 3 – Zoroark: The Dark-type Pokémon can be compared to Snivy. It has a strong attack value but can be quickly defeated:
- Attack value: 250
- Defense value: 127
- HP value: 155
- Maximum CP: 2571
As a Dark attacker, Zoroark becomes really strong but is quite fragile. Pokémon like Darkrai or Dragapult remain better, but Zoroark can be used as a strong alternative.
Place 2 – Flampivian: The Fire-type Pokémon will be a really good attacker of this type. Especially its attack value is convincing:
- Attack value: 263
- Defense value: 114
- HP value: 233
- Maximum CP: 3105
Flampivian also learns strong Fire moves and has an attack value of 263, higher than all other current Fire attackers. So we will have a strong new Pokémon here.
Place 1 – Ramoth: Even better and usable for 2 types – Ramoth will be the new top attacker of Fire and Bug type:
- Attack value: 264
- Defense value: 189
- HP value: 198
- Maximum CP: 3632
Ramoth has the best moves of Fire and Bug type and an extremely high attack value. Especially in the Bug type, Ramoth will be by far the best attacker.
