In Pokémon GO there are some exciting field research tasks in August. We show you 7 quests that you can always take with you and that are particularly worthwhile.
This is what is shown here: The field research tasks in August mainly include battle Pokémon. Additionally, there are some quests that have been around for months.
Not every task includes a worthwhile Pokémon. To ensure you know exactly which field research tasks you should complete, we present to you 7 quests that include rare shinies or strong Pokémon.
The best field research tasks in August 2020
Catch 3 Fighting-type Pokémon: Anyone who completes this somewhat tricky quest can look forward to a Machollo. The evolution Machomei is still one of the best Fighting-type Pokémon in the game and should not be missing from any team.
Additionally, Machollo is a rather rare shiny, and you need at least 3 shinies to complete the family. So, if you don’t have that yet, you should tackle the quest diligently.
Catch 3 Pokémon with weather boost: This task is relatively quickly completed and includes Meditie. The Pokémon is particularly important for PvP enthusiasts. Its evolution Meditalis is among the best Pokémon in the Super League.
Furthermore, Meditie can be shiny. So, if you don’t have a shiny specimen yet, you should take on the quest. After all, you can hope for a shiny with good IVs here.
Use 5 berries when catching Pokémon: A Glibunkel is waiting for you here, which some shiny hunters might still need. So, if you don’t have a shiny yet, you should simply always take on this rather easy task and complete it on the side.
Make 5 great throws: This quest has been around for months in Pokémon GO and still includes Voltobal. The Pokémon can be found as shiny since the Safari Zone in May and may still be missing for many trainers. After all, Voltobal has not been significantly increased in any event after the Safari Zone.
The task is completed quickly and should always be taken on. Even if you already have the shiny, a shiny Voltobal could be a good trade object with other trainers.
Evolve a Pokémon: Here you have two possible Pokémon as a reward: Evoli or Jungglut. For most people, Evoli is probably a dud, but Jungglut yields more stardust as an evolution.
There are 2 more quests in August that involve evolutions, but “Evolve a Pokémon” is probably the easiest. It’s best to not catch the Jungglut right away, but to leave it in the quest stack to claim it during a stardust event.
Take a snapshot of a battle Pokémon: The quest includes Menki, which is not particularly good, but can at least be shiny.
The task is completed quickly and is actually too good to throw away. It’s best to collect it 2 or 3 times and then just take one snapshot. Perhaps in the end, you might get a shiny Menki, even if it is not the rarest shiny in the game.
Land 5 great curveball throws in a row: This is the classic Pandir quest, which is quite rare but should always be taken on.
Pandir is a rare shiny and currently available in form #5. If you do not have this Pandir as shiny yet, you should keep an eye out for the quest.
What you need to consider: In August, the hyper bonus from the GO Fest is also active. So there is a new event every week that you can play. There, additional field research tasks will be introduced, which will then disappear after a week.
We have only shown you the quests that will remain throughout August.
