In Pokémon GO, the Dyna-Finale begins with Endynalos in its Infinity Dynamax form and other Gigantamax bosses. We summarize tips for you.
When does the Dyna-Finale take place? The event runs on August 23rd and 24th, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day.
What are the highlights? The key points are as follows:
- You can unlock rewards in the GO Pass until August 24th at 9:00 PM.
- Infinity Dynamax Endynalos appears for the first time in Pokémon GO (but is not catchable, more on that below).
- The Gigantamax bosses will be back again.
- There are special backgrounds for Pokémon from Dyna battles if you’re lucky.
We summarize a few tips here on what to consider during the event.
Get Endynalos in the GO Pass
During the Dyna-Finale weekend, there is no limit to how many points you can collect daily in the GO Pass. This means: You can collect points over the weekend to get Endynalos at rank 60. Important: You can only collect points until 9:00 PM on Sunday evening. If you haven’t gotten Endynalos by then, it will be lost.

Can I catch Infinity Dynamax Endynalos?
No, you cannot. As of now, you receive only a large amount of candies from battles against Infinity Dynamax Endynalos to train the Endynalos from the GO Pass. You can currently only obtain Endynalos once: through the Pass.
How do I defeat Infinity Dynamax Endynalos?
Certainly not alone. The number of trainers that can participate simultaneously in Gigantamax battles has been increased to 100. This likely explains why many trainers are needed to defeat Endynalos.
Gigantamax battles were once designed for up to 40 players, and sometimes it was crucial to gather that many trainers. By now, there is a better understanding of how to properly engage in Dynamax battles, and trainers also have access to stronger Dyna Pokémon. Nevertheless, expect that you need many teammates for Infinity Dynamax Endynalos. If you don’t have those teammates on-site, you can try using a Remote Raid Pass.
It’s important to use strong Pokémon against Infinity Dynamax Endynalos.
What are the best counters against Infinity Dynamax Endynalos?
Endynalos is weak against Dragon, Psychic, Ground, and Ice. Currently, the following Pokémon with corresponding attacks are useful for dealing damage:
- Dynamax Endynalos
- Dynamax Latios and -Latias
- Dynamax Metagross
- Dynamax Stalobor
- Gigantamax Silembrim
However, the defensive aspect is also crucial. You can rely on the following Pokémon:
- Zamazenta, King of Shields
- Zacian, King of Swords
- Dynamax Metagross
- Dynamax Stalobor
- Dynamax Krarmor
And you should also have healers on your team. Especially Chansey has recently proven to be a good option.
How should one approach the battle?
Basically, it is crucial to be tactical in Dynamax battles. It’s best to take two defenders and one attacker. The defenders take the hits from Endynalos, and then switch to the attacker during the Max phase.
Important: Avoid using charged attacks when filling your Dyna meter. They only waste time, deal little damage, and charge the Dyna meter just as much as a quick attack. Quick attacks are therefore the way to go.
Additionally, the adventure effects of Zacian, Zamazenta and also the adventure effect of Endynalos can provide advantages.
