In Pokémon GO the Bug Event is approaching and players are already discussing what you might expect. We present to you 5 wishes from the community.
What are these wishes? Players have numerous wishes for every event in Pokémon GO. We have selected 5 things that sound quite plausible and might be implemented.
However, none of the wishes have to come true. So far, they are just theories from the player base.
These 5 wishes are from the players
Where do the wishes come from? On Reddit there are numerous opinions about the event surrounding the bugs. We took a look there and searched for the things that were wished for the most.
When does the event start? Already on April 2 at 9 PM we will be dealing with the bugs. By then, we will know if some wishes have come true.
Wish 1: Nincada returns to the game
This is the wish: Players have been waiting for the return of Nincada for weeks. The bug Pokémon is absolutely wished to return for the event. This is the wish that players express the most.
How realistic is that? The chances of a return release are good. After all, Nincada is a bug Pokémon and Niantic is also listening to the community’s wishes.
Additionally, there are special bug quests for the event, where a Nincada would fit ideally as a reward.
Wish 2: Shiny Scyther comes to the game
This is the wish: It was already visible in the announcement image, which is why many players wish for the shiny form of Scyther. This form does not exist yet.
How realistic is that? Niantic likes to release shinies for events. Scyther is quite likely since it is a bug and so far only its normal form is available to catch.
Although it was shown in the announcement image, we also saw Myrapla for the Plant Event there. However, it was not released as a shiny afterward. So the image does not mean much.
Wish 3: New Bug Pokémon from Gen 4 come
This is the wish: In the 4th generation, there are still missing bug Pokémon. Players wish for the release of Burmy, Burmadame, and Moterpel.
How realistic is that? All 3 Pokémon have already been found in the code. For Niantic, it would be no challenge to release these bugs. Moreover, they would fit well into such an event.
However, there have been many moments where Niantic could have released suitable Pokémon. This was recently the case with the limited research involving Lotad. There was nothing from the developers there either.
Wish 4: Volbeat and Illumise swap regions
This is the wish: The two regional bug-type Pokémon, Illumise and Volbeat, are supposed to swap regions for the event.
How realistic is that? At the time, during the global release of Plusle and Minun, many players were surprised. Niantic is known for such actions.
Nonetheless, it is probably more of a wish. It would fit well, but with Lunatone and Solrock having just swapped regions recently, it seems less likely.
Wish 5: There is another chance at Ninjask
This is the wish: Not only Nincada is supposed to return. Ninjask should also be released again. After all, this Pokémon has only been available in the research breakthrough in November.
How realistic is that? At the moment, there is no way to obtain Ninjask. Many players are still missing this bug Pokémon. It is quite conceivable that this Pokémon will be released again during a bug event.
As a research breakthrough, it probably won’t come since we already have 8 other Pokémon there. It could potentially come from a quest.
