In the current event in Pokémon GO, you can catch some strong monsters. Some of them are even more powerful than they usually are.
What kind of event is this? The event “Critical Hit: GO Battle Week” started on May 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM and runs until Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 8:00 PM. In addition to the premiere of Wulaosu, which you can evolve from Dakuma for the first time, several other strong monsters are waiting for you.
Many of these Pokémon can even obtain their exclusive moves during the event, for which you otherwise need to rely on rare Top-TMs. We will show you which monsters they are, which moves they can learn, and where you can find the monsters.
Strong Pokémon for Raids and Battle League
Rasaff
How do I get this Pokémon? Rasaff is the evolution of Menki and simultaneously the pre-evolution of Epitaff. You can encounter Menki in the wild.
How strong is the monster? Rasaff is currently among the top monsters in the Super and Hyper League. In the Hyper League, it is even somewhat stronger than in the Super League.
Does it have an exclusive move? If you evolve Menki into Rasaff during the event, it will learn the charge move Fury Swipes. You need this move if you want to use Rasaff in the Battle League.
Lapras
How do I get this Pokémon? Lapras, the ice-water monster from Generation 1, can be challenged and caught in level-3 raids during the event.
How strong is the monster? Lapras is also currently among the best monsters you can use in the Battle League. In both the Super and Hyper League, you will find the monster in the top 10 of the current meta.
Does it have an exclusive move? If you catch Lapras from 3-star raids, it will know the charge move Ice Beam. This move is also necessary if you want to use the monster in the Battle League.
Quajutsu
How do I get this Pokémon? If you evolve Froxy into Amphizel, you can then evolve the monster into Quajutsu. You can find Froxy in the wild during the event.
How strong is the monster? In the past, Quajutsu was one of the strongest monsters in the Super League, but it has lost that rank in recent updates. However, the monster is still suitable as a water attacker for raids.
Does it have an exclusive move? If you evolve Amphizel into Quajutsu, the monster will learn the strong charge move Hydro Cannon during the event.
Trikephalo
How do I get this Pokémon? Trikephalo is the final evolution of Kapuno, which you can find in the wild during the event. However, it is rarer than other monsters.
How strong is the monster? Trikephalo is one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO of the dark type and can enhance your raid teams as such.
Does it have an exclusive move? Trikephalo also has an exclusive move if you evolve it during the event. It is the charge move Twister.
Aggrostella
How do I get this Pokémon? If you catch Garstella and evolve it, you will get Aggrostella. You can challenge Garstella in level-1 raids.
How strong is the monster? Aggrostella is a very strong Pokémon for the Super League. Outside of that, you should ideally not use the monster.
Does it have an exclusive move? Unlike the other Pokémon on this list, Aggrostella does not have an exclusive move in the event.
