Here we present 5 monsters that are effective against numerous legendary Pokémon and with which you can at least defeat a variety of your strong opponents.
Strong monsters against legendary Pokémon
What we focused on when selecting: We compared the weaknesses of all legendary Pokémon and looked for the monster that would defeat the most legendary.
Additionally, we made sure to present 5 Pokémon that are all effective against different legendary Pokémon. This way, with these 5 monsters, you can cover at least a large part of the legendary Pokémon.
Each of the Pokémon presented here is a top counter against the listed legendary monsters. They can also be strong against other legendaries, but do not count among the top counters there.
Rhyperior
Which Pokémon are weak against Rhyperior? The Pokémon has two types that it can use. Thus, Rhyperior learns strong moves from the types Rock and Ground. With both movesets, it is effective against numerous legendary Pokémon.
As a Rock attacker, it is effective against the legendary birds Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos. Additionally, it counters Entei, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Tornadus, Thundurus, Kyurem, and Reshiram. You can thus effectively hit 10 legendary Pokémon.
With the Ground moveset, Rhyperior also covers further legendary Pokémon. Raikou and Heatran are weak against these attacks.
What makes Rhyperior so good? Rhyperior serves here mainly as a representative for all Rock Pokémon. Although there is a Pokémon, Rampardos, that can deal more Rock damage, Rhyperior is significantly sturdier in battle. Additionally, it has a strong Ground moveset, so Rhyperior can be effectively used in two ways.
Darkrai
Which Pokémon are weak against Darkrai? This mysterious Pokémon is a strong attacker of the types Ghost and Dark. With these types, it effectively hits numerous Psychic Pokémon. This includes Mewtwo, Lugia, Latias, Latios, Deoxys, Mesprit, Toepig, Vespiquen, and Cresselia. It also has effectiveness against Ghosts, like the two forms of Giratina.

Medicham
Which Pokémon are weak against Medicham? This monster serves as a representative for all Fighting attackers. It is effective against Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Dialga, Regigigas, Kyurem, Terrakion, Cobalion, and Darkrai. So, with Medicham, you are effective against 9 level 5 bosses.
What makes Medicham so good? Among Fighting attackers, there is still Lucario, which deals even more damage, but in battle, Medicham is significantly sturdier. You deal solid damage and survive relatively long in the fight.
Rayquaza
Which Pokémon are weak against Rayquaza? The legendary dragon Pokémon is especially effective against other dragons, which are abundant in level 5 raids. This includes Latias, Latios, Palkia, Giratina, and Reshiram.
Moreover, it has a solid Flying moveset. Thus, Rayquaza is also one of the top counters against Virizion.
What makes Rayquaza so good? Currently, there is no better alternative among the dragons than Rayquaza. It deals the most damage and has the best dragon attacks in the game. This way, you are optimally equipped in the fight against other dragon Pokémon.
Mewtwo
Which Pokémon are weak against Mewtwo? The legendary Pokémon is a very special case. It can learn many different charge attacks and is therefore effective against various opponents.
As a Psychic Pokémon, it is effective against Terrakion, with Shadow Ball as a charge attack, it effectively hits Mesprit, Toepig, Vespiquen, Cresselia, and itself (when you face another Mewtwo), and with Ice Beam, it is useful against Groudon, Rayquaza, and Landorus.
What makes Mewtwo so good? Especially its versatility makes Mewtwo so useful. You have one Pokémon, but you can use it in various battles due to the different charge attacks. Mewtwo may not be the absolute top Pokémon anywhere, except as a Psychic attacker, but it is always among the best attackers.
