New graphics of a total of 5 monsters have been found in Pokémon GO by dataminers. We at MeinMMO have looked at this information and will show you which Pokémon it is.
What are these finds? A group of dataminers calling themselves PokeMiners regularly search in Pokémon GO for new information. This allows them to discover some changes in the game before the actual release. They then provide these finds publicly to other trainers. Now the PokeMiners have found new graphics of 5 Pokémon from Generation 6 in the game code.
Since the data found are just hints from the game code and not official information from Niantic, you should view them with a healthy dose of skepticism. In the past, the PokeMiners have been able to make very reliable statements about this, although Pokémon GO can also change this data at any time.
These are the 5 new monsters
A few days ago, Niantic had released the new loading screen for Pokémon GO. This led to a lot of speculation in the community about a release of new monsters. Now the PokeMiners have found new graphics in the game code that give a preview for a possible release.
In the reddit post by martycochrane, 5 new monsters from Generation 6 can be seen. These include Hoopa in its unbound form, Monargoras, Paragoni, and Trombork, as well as different forms of Coiffwaff, as you can see in the embedded post below.
What we know about the new Pokémon
Hoopa: The mysterious Pokémon Hoopa has been a topic in Pokémon GO since the GO Fest in July 2021. It has repeatedly triggered certain events in the game using its rings. With these rings, it can transport things from one place to another.
Just in time for the new season, there is now a new special research through which you can catch this monster for the first time. Hoopa is of the Psychic and Dark types. It also has an unbound and a bound form. Until now, only the bound version has been shown in the game. In the findings of the PokeMiners, the graphic of an unbound Hoopa has been discovered for the first time.
Monargoras: Monargoras is the evolution of Balgoras. It is of the Rock and Dragon types. You can recognize it by its reddish-brown, dinosaur-like body, the yellow crest, and a white shield around its neck. Its pre-evolution Balgoras is also not yet catchable in the game.
Paragoni and Trombork: Paragoni belongs to the Ghost and Grass types. You can recognize it by the tree stump it uses as a head. Its body resembles a ghost. Paragoni can evolve into the tree-like monster Trombork. This Pokémon also belongs to the Ghost and Grass types.
Coiffwaff: Coiffwaff is a Normal type monster. It has no pre-evolutions or further evolutions. As shown in the overview of the PokeMiners from the reddit post, this monster is a shape-shifter. This happens by changing its hairstyle. Therefore, it can take on up to 9 other forms in addition to its unstyled form.
Community reactions
The finds of the PokeMiners are well received in the community. As cestkevvie writes: “Trombork is one of my absolute favorite Pokémon. I can’t wait for it to come to the game” (via reddit.com). And its pre-evolution Paragoni can impress trainers with its shiny version (via reddit.com).
Burntphantrash, on the other hand, is excited about Hoopa in its unbound form and Monargoras. However, he would have liked to see another dinosaur Pokémon: Amagarga (via reddit.com).
Other trainers are already speculating when Coiffwaff could come to the game. Amiibofan101 writes on reddit: “I hope we get more than just the normal Coiffwaff for the Fashion Event” (via reddit.com). Shadowmirrow speculates that the normal form could be available in the wild and all others only in raids (via reddit.com).
That there could be a release of Coiffwaff on the occasion of the announced Fashion Event does not sound unreasonable. This monster can change its form by changing its hairstyle. Therefore, the associated change in appearance would fit thematically well with this event.
