In Pokémon GO, there have been some changes regarding the battle league. These changes make certain monsters suddenly much more interesting.
What are these changes? With the start of the new PvP Season 3 in the battle league, there came some changes to Pokémon GO.
For example, the existing moves have been adjusted, and new moves for some Pokémon have been introduced. Additionally, there is an Instant TM as a reward starting from rank 7, which is also useful to make monsters more interesting. Here are some Pokémon that are now more exciting.
Rexblisar
What changes for Rexblisar: Rexblisar is significantly stronger in Season 3 in the Super League than before. This is due to two changes: Firstly, its Instant Move Powder Snow has been improved and now deals more damage. Additionally, the move “Meteorologist” has been added to the Ice form that Rexblisar can use.
With the new set, it ranks according to “PvPoke” (via Twitter) among monsters like Swampert and Tropius. The Crypto variant deals even more damage than the normal Rexblisar. MeinMMO editor Noah Struthoff recently wished that Rexblisar would be stronger – wish granted.
Jugong
What changes for Jugong: Jugong becomes more interesting through a reward that comes from Season 2. With the Top Instant TM, this monster can learn the Ice move “Ice Shard”. So if you received such a TM at the start of Season 3, you might consider using it on Jugong.
However, Jugong should ideally also be equipped with the charge move Ice Storm (through a Top Charge TM) and the second charge move Aqua Wave to make it really useful. You can find an overview of the monsters that benefit from Top TMs here.
Pelipper
What changes for Pelipper: Pelipper is also newly placed in the upper segment of the PvP monsters, as a move has changed. Pelipper can now also learn the move “Meteorologist” – but of the Water type.
This move makes it interesting for the Super League.
Zapdos
What changes for Zapdos: Since we’re already talking about Top TMs, Zapdos should be mentioned as well. You can teach the Thunderbird the Instant Move Thunder Shock using a Top TM, which is quickly deployable in PvP.
An option here is also to use the Crypto Zapdos from the GO Fest – at least if you have changed the charge move “Frustration”. This was possible during the Rocket takeover on Sunday.
Drifzepeli
What changes for Drifzepeli: Drifzepeli has received a boost in that its Instant Move “Weight” has been strengthened. The Ghost move now generates energy faster and allows Drifzepeli to use its charge moves Ice Storm and Shadow Ball more quickly.
