For several days now, you can catch the first monsters of the 5th generation in Pokémon GO. 20 Pokémon and their evolutions are in the game. We show you which of them are actually good.
These are the Pokémon: We present to you 5 monsters that are particularly important in raids and gym battles. They are:
- Fasasnob
- Golgantes
- Stalobor
- Trikephalo
- Skelabra
They belong to the top attackers in the game and have shaken up the meta of Pokémon GO a bit.

These 5 Pokémon you should level up
Rank 5 – Fasasnob: The final evolution of Dusselgurr is of the Normal and Flying types. As a flying attacker, Fasasnob can actually be quite useful.

- Maximum CP: 2734
Fasasnob masters the strong flying attack Air Slash. With this and its solid stats, the Pokémon becomes one of the top flying attackers. However, it is quite fragile and can be defeated quickly.
A disadvantage of Fasasnob is also that the flying type can rarely be used. Hardly any Pokémon in raids is particularly weak against flying Pokémon.
Rank 4 – Golgantes: This Pokémon has an interesting mix with the Ghost and Ground types. Especially as a Ground Pokémon, it can be quite useful.

- Maximum CP: 2854
Although Golgantes cannot compete against the top ground attackers, it offers a strong alternative. It masters Earth Power, which is the best ground attack in the game, and can shine that way.
Unfortunately, Golgantes is quickly defeated, making it more of a glass cannon.
Rank 3 – Stalobor: The Pokémon of Steel and Ground type does not make a special impression at first glance, but Stalobor is particularly useful as a ground attacker.

Stalobor deals more damage than Groudon, but takes less. Nonetheless, it is currently extremely useful. In the 5th generation, the legendary Pokémon Thundurus comes along, which will replace Stalobor again.
Rank 2 – Trikephalo: Here we have a Pokémon of Dark and Dragon type, which mainly competes with the dark attackers.

- Maximum CP: 3625
Currently, Trikephalo is the best dark attacker in the game. It deals slightly more damage than Tyranitar and endures about the same. Especially against Psychic raid bosses, you should rely on Trikephalo.
Rank 1 – Skelabra: The Pokémon of Ghost and Fire type can only be developed using the Einall Stone, but then it shows enormous strength.

Skelabra is one of the best ghost attackers in the game. Against the current raid boss Mewtwo, it is even one of the top counters. It deals more damage than Giratina, but also takes less damage.
As a fire attacker, Skelabra is also not bad and competes with Moltres for the title of best attacker. Unfortunately, however, the fire type is not needed that often.
