Pokémon GO lets you choose the Community Day in August. Four Pokémon are available for selection – we present them to you.
When is the Community Day in August? The Community Day takes place on August 30 and starts at 2 PM.
Which Pokémon appears then? It’s completely up to you, as four Pokémon are available for selection.

How do you vote? Voting will take place on the official Pokémon GO YouTube channel from June 8, 3:00 AM, to June 9, 3:00 AM. There you can cast your vote.
But which Pokémon should you choose? We give you a little overview of the monsters that are up for election.
What makes Quabbel special?
Quabbel is a Water-type Pokémon, whose male and female forms differ significantly in appearance. Both evolve into Apoquallyp – and that’s a strong argument to be chosen if you’re a PvP fan. It’s among the best Pokémon in the Super League and Hyper League. As a Raid attacker, you can largely ignore Quabbel and Apoquallyp.
The Shiny of Quabbel can be caught in Pokémon GO since 2023.
What makes Reißlaus special?
Reißlaus is a Bug-Water-type Pokémon that evolves into Tectass. This monster is also one of the best Pokémon in the battle league, not only in the Super League but also in the Hyper League. It can even hold its own in the Master League.
A particularly interesting point here is that during a Community Day you get a lot of candies – and Tectass requires a total of 400 candies for evolution. That would be a good opportunity.
You can get the Shiny of Reißlaus since March 2024, if luck is on your side.
What makes Meikro special?
Meikro is the “latest” Pokémon of the four candidates, it has been in the game since January 2025. It evolves into Kranoviz and Krarmor – thus, it is the only Pokémon in this selection that has a total of 3 stages.
An interesting point: Krarmor also has a Gigantamax form (which is not yet in the game). Here you could start collecting candies to later power up a potential Giga-Krarmor.
A significant argument for Meikro is also the Shiny aspect: Because Meikro’s Shiny is not yet in the game. Through the Community Day, this will likely be introduced into the game, and with increased chances.
Last but not least, Krarmor is also an absolute top choice in the Super and Hyper League.
What makes Ferkuli special?
Ferkuli was a favorite among fans from the start when Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were introduced. The Normal-type Pokémon evolves into Fragrunz, it first appeared in Pokémon GO in 2023.
In terms of battles, it is not particularly useful – neither in the PvP League nor in raids. Its Shiny has been around for two years now.
Which Pokémon should you choose?
That’s completely up to you, as everyone has different favorite Pokémon. But looking strictly at the arguments, Meikro is probably the favorite of many players. It’s the newest Pokémon, you’d get a new Shiny, and in the PvP League it’s stronger than Tectass or Apoquallyp, which both have their best arguments there. Which Pokémon will you choose?
