In Pokémon GO the 4th generation from the Sinnoh region will be available soon. Additionally, Pokémon behavior and effectiveness in battles will change.
The 4th generation will soon be introduced in Pokémon GO. The team has not yet provided an exact date but showed what changes will occur before the arrival of the new monsters.
What is changing in Pokémon GO?
Even before the monsters from the Sinnoh region arrive, further changes will be implemented in Pokémon GO. These will affect the spawning of Pokémon and their strength in battles.
Changes to behavior: The weather in Pokémon GO is expected to have less influence on how often certain species spawn. Instead, the locations where you stay will become more important:
- Adjustments will be made to the weather feature, reducing the impact weather has on the spawn rate of Pokémon.
- When exploring areas, trainers should notice that over time, more different Pokémon appear at different rates.
- In certain areas, like parks and nature reserves, a wider variety of Pokémon will now appear.
Changes in battle: Niantic wants to rebalance the battle mechanics:
- To improve game balance, the WP values will be adjusted.
- The HP values will be adjusted. This aims to close the gap between Pokémon with high and low HP.
- The defense and stamina values of Pokémon will be rebalanced. This will allow Pokémon with high defense values to be used more effectively in battles to outlast opponents rather than just running down the timer.
- The defense values of most Pokémon have been slightly reduced. This change aims to narrow the gap between monsters with the highest defense values and other Pokémon.
Perhaps we will see fewer failures like Stolloss due to the changes in combat. As our author Noah knows, one should almost never use Stolloss in Pokémon GO.
When are the changes coming? Niantic has not yet announced exact dates for these changes. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for Pokémon GO to not miss any news about the 4th generation.
