The 3rd GO Fest for 2019 takes place in Japan! Pokémon GO has confirmed its announced event for the Asian region. German players could also benefit from this.
What was announced? A few weeks ago, Niantic announced a GO Fest for Dortmund and Chicago. An equivalent event was teased for the Asian region, but no location was provided.
Now we know that it will take place in the Japanese city of Yokohama. The GO Fest will be held alongside the “Pikachu Outbreak” event, which is organized annually in Japan.
GO Fest in Yokohama – What do we have from it?
When does the event take place? No exact date has been announced yet. So far, it has only been stated on the Pokémon website that the Pikachu Outbreak will take place between August 6 and 12. It’s possible that the GO Fest will also take place around this time.
What will be at the event? So far, nothing is known about the special Pokémon at the 3rd GO Fest. A picture is still missing, which the other events already have.
However, it can be assumed that a regional Pokémon will be available to catch, as well as special forms of Unown. Plaudagei is expected to be the regional Pokémon since the other two Regional Pokémon of Generation 4 were already present at the other fests.
What does the event mean for German players? So far, the previous GO Fests have always had an impact on worldwide spawns.
Thanks to the GO Fest 2018 in Chicago, players worldwide were able to catch Shiny Plusle and Minun. Something similar could be planned for 2019.
If the GO Fest is held in August in Yokohama, we could expect a new Shiny and possibly other rare Pokémon and special bonuses.
For Dortmund, a GO Fest is also planned for 2019. These Pokémon are of interest:
