Niantic now officially explains which Pokémon and which bonuses will be active during the 3rd Pokémon GO Community Day in March.
The trainers of Pokémon GO have successfully completed two Community Days and are now on their way to the third day of the community. This will take place in March.
After a leak beforehand, the developers now officially announce when it starts, which Pokémon will be featured, and what other bonuses you can expect during the event.
Community Day on March 25 – With Shiny Bulbasaur?
On Sunday, March 25, the third Community Day in Pokémon GO is scheduled to take place. The developers will stick to the known time for the event, which was used for past events. The event will be active from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Only the day of the week has changed from Saturday to Sunday.
Note that on the morning of March 25, the clocks will be set to summer time. At 2:00 AM, the clocks are moved one hour ahead to 3:00 AM – so there “is missing” an hour. However, Niantic indicated the 3rd Community Day with the values of “Central European Summer Time”, so nothing should change for “11:00 AM to 2:00 PM”.
The special Pokémon during this event is the Grass-type starter Pokémon Bulbasaur. During the previous events, Pikachu and Dratini were also frequently found as Shiny variants. We therefore assume that Bulbasaur will also be found in the wild in Pokémon GO as a Shiny monster during the event time.
Niantic has not yet revealed which special attack the Grass-type monster (or one of its evolutions) can learn.
Additionally, during the event time you will be able to utilize certain in-game bonuses. These are:
- Triple experience points for catching Pokémon
- Three-hour lures
These special Community Day events take place once a month. They are meant to bring trainers together and strengthen the community. While the special Pokémon appear more frequently everywhere, they are even more likely to be found in parks. Many trainers gather to pursue their hobby together and catch many of the little monsters.
Pokémon that appear more frequently during the event are a rarity with their exclusive event attacks and enhance the PokéDex of collectors. In addition, Niantic finds a way to activate the Shiny variants of many monsters in the game through the Community Days.
