In Pokémon GO a new global event will take place this month. And here, 2 of the strongest Pokémon will celebrate their return.
What kind of event is this? The global event Wild Area, which is known as Nature Zone in German-speaking countries, will take place on November 23 and 24, 2024. It will be held for the first time and represents the third major event of this kind alongside the GO Tour and the GO Fest.
In addition to the previous announcements about the event – such as the return of Dialga and Palkia in their original forms, the introduction of a new ball, or the debut of Gigantamax Riffex – another highlight for the event has now been announced.
Catch the Proto Forms
What kind of Pokémon are these? The two attackers are the Proto Forms of Groudon and Kyogre. Both monsters are among the best attackers in Pokémon GO and should definitely strengthen your team.
You can find and challenge both monsters in Proto Raids during the event. As is common with Proto and Mega Pokémon, after a successful battle you will have the opportunity to catch the Pokémon in their regular forms.
You will also receive Proto Energy after a successful raid, which you need to trigger the Proto Evolution of the two Pokémon. The amount of energy depends on the speed at which you complete the raid.
What else has been announced? In addition to Proto Raids, special backgrounds have also been announced. Besides the previous announcement that these can be obtained from monsters in 4*- and 5*-Raids, it is now also known that you can also acquire them in Proto Raids and Dyna battles against Riffex.
Ticket holders can also look forward to a special research task. Here, you must choose between the Electric and Poison paths. As rewards, you will receive, depending on the path, a costumed Pikachu, Dynamax Riffex in high or low form, and a medal.
Additionally, trainers who have completed this special research will receive special bonuses from Monday, November 25, 2024, to Friday, November 29, 2024. More detailed information about the bonuses is not yet known.
