In the first generation, there are Pidgey and Rattata, to get a lot of stardust and candies that help you level up. The second generation also comes with its specialists that you will probably encounter frequently. These are the Pokémon that appear early in the tall grass in the Gold and Silver Editions. Here they are and their evolutions.

Description: Furret is very slender. When it is attacked, it can wriggle through tight spaces to escape. Despite its short limbs, this Pokémon is very agile and quick.
#163 Hoothoot

Weight: 21.2 kilograms
Description: Hoothoot possesses an inner organ that perceives the Earth’s rotation. This special organ allows this Pokémon to hoot at the same time every day.
#164 Noctowl
Type: Normal / Flying
Height: 1.6 meters
Weight: 40.8 kilograms
Description: Thanks to its excellent eyesight, which allows it to see even in low light, and its sleek wings, with which it flies noiselessly, Noctowl does not miss its prey.
