Data miners have found new Crypto Pokémon in Pokémon GO, which will likely be available in the game soon. Included are Chimchar and its evolution, Monferno, which could become a really strong Fire attacker as Crypto.
What kind of Pokémon is this? The Pokeminers, known for finding content in Pokémon GO before it is officially released, have published an image of 10 new Crypto Pokémon. Included are:
- Tangela
- Seel
- Snubbull
- Chimchar
- Poochyena
- Makuhita
- Frillish
- Staravia
- Bidoof
- Pineco
At the same time, all evolutions of the respective Pokémon have also been found, increasing the total number to well over 10.
When exactly the Crypto Pokémon will be available in the game is currently unknown.
2 Pokémon could be absolute highlights
Which Pokémon are particularly interesting? On reddit, there is already discussion about the new find. Players are especially keeping an eye on two strong Pokémon:
Firstly, many speculate that the second evolution of Chimchar – Monferno – will be a really strong Fire attacker because it already has a high attack stat. The Pokémon is even said to be able to compete with Crypto-Moltres, which you can catch again with Giovanni since May 1st (via reddit). However, some users also emphasize the very weak defense of Monferno.
The second strong Pokémon is Crypto-Seedraking. This could be “used by everyone” in PvP, as reddit user backstrocker1991 suggests (via reddit).
How do you get Crypto Pokémon? These monsters are only available when you defeat a Grunt or Boss from Team GO Rocket. As a reward, you can then catch one of their Crypto Pokémon, including the new monsters that have been found in the datamine.
