In Pokémon GO the next event is already on the way! Players have mastered the global challenge, which has unlocked a new event.
What kind of event is this? While the GO Fest took place in Chicago, players worldwide could complete field research to unlock an event.
This has succeeded, and now a new event awaits all players tomorrow.
Global Challenge Event starts tomorrow – All info
What are the bonuses? During the event, you can hatch eggs faster and earn more candies. So there are:
- Double candy when catching Pokémon
- Double candy when hatching Pokémon
- Eggs can hatch twice as fast
- There is always a guaranteed special candy from raids
How long does the event last? From tomorrow, June 18 at 10 PM, until June 25 at 10 PM, the bonuses are active. You have a whole week.
This additional bonus is available: Because each team has completed its specific task, there is also an additional bonus.
Raikou will return to raids and will appear as shiny. The exact time will be announced later, but you can expect a raid day. There, Raikou will return for 3 hours and appear in every gym.
Are there special Pokémon? No special spawns have been announced so far. So it may be that you have the normal spawns, where you can still earn with the known bonuses.
However, it may also be that Niantic will spawn special Pokémon. This was only announced shortly before the last event during the GO Fest.
What was done for this? All weekend, players diligently completed numerous quests. Each team had to complete a total of 15 million field research tasks. Players at the GO Fest had to solve 1 million quests.
All teams have succeeded, which is why there are now global rewards.
