Not only in Pokémon GO can you be close to your favorite pocket monster. The online shop “Pokémon Center” is now making the hearts of many fans race with a really cute plush Pokémon. We from MeinMMO will show you what it’s all about.
What kind of plush toy is this? Plush toys around the little pocket monsters are actually nothing extraordinary. After all, the most popular examples, such as Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, or Snorlax, can be found in almost every toy store and are modeled after their originals from the series and the games.
The Japanese online shop “Pokémon Center” also offers fan items related to the various monsters. Now you can even get an incredibly cute, plush ice and water Pokémon in life size.
This is life-sized Plush-Seel
The new life-sized plush toy is Seel, a Pokémon from Generation 3. According to the product information and images from the “Pokémon Center” website, the monster feels enormous.
And with this size, Seel at “Pokémon Center” is not alone, as the online shop has previously released other monsters, such as Lucario and Mareep, in this form, which also had impressive dimensions.
How big is the plush toy? Seel measures, like its original, 80 cm x 98 cm x 100 cm. So there is probably little space left for cuddling in bed. With a weight of nearly 7.5 kg, Seel is also not a lightweight compared to other plush toys.

What is so special about the plush toy? Like the ice and water Pokémon, the plush toy is also supposed to provide cooling. It is made of a special fabric that feels cool and is therefore ideal for warm days. In addition, the monster naturally impresses with its super cuddly appearance.
How much does the giant plush toy cost? Whoever wants to have Seel in life size by their side must pay 49,500 yen, which is approximately 350 euros (as of July 18, 2022).
However, the Japanese shop from “Pokémon Center” does not currently ship internationally. And the life-sized Seel is also not currently available in the US shop of the provider. Whether it will be available internationally in the future is currently unknown.
Why do I still want it? I fell head over heels for the life-sized Seel at first sight. Even though the price is enormous and it is currently (still) not available in Germany, the plush toy would be a great addition to my collection.
Are there other fan items like this?
Yes, the life-sized plush Seel is not the only item that makes the hearts of Pokémon lovers race. For example, the Japanese website rakuten.co.jp also offers sofas in Ditto or Snorlax design.
