Our author Jürgen was a guest on the Doomian podcast along with colleagues Michael Graf, Elena Schulz, Sebastian Stange, and Michael Obermeier from GameStar at Superlevel.de. There, he lamented the lack of success of his favorite games WildStar and Battleborn. However, the contributions of the GameStar colleagues are absolutely worth listening to.
I have been an enthusiastic podcast fan since my intern days at Buffed.de and was often found on their podcast back then. So I was immediately in when podcaster Fabu from the site Superlevel.de was looking for guests for a GameStar special episode of the podcast format “Doomian”. Since I also work as an editor at our sister site, I signed up for the podcast along with colleagues Michael Graf, Sebastian Stange, Elena Schulz, and Michael Obermeier.
Psycho Talk about Games
The format “Doomian” is oriented towards the legendary and now discontinued Sorgen-Telefon radio show “Domian”, which featured some very bizarre and psychologically curious cases where the affected individuals spoke about their problems, worries, and woes. Doomian goes into similar bizarre and psychological topics, but focused on games. This is where I also express my sorrow over the lack of success of my favorite games WildStar and Battleborn as well as the issues of free-to-play games.
But the colleagues from GameStar also have highly interesting and curious topics in store. Michael Graf for example has a problem with hoarding items in games, while Elena Schulz talks about story in games. A particularly curious dilemma, on the other hand, is faced by Michael Obermeier, who is addicted to gamer score achievements on Xbox. Lastly, Sebastian Stange describes the sad fact that he barely plays through games anymore and leaves them unfinished.
We have embedded the Doomian podcast here for you. Enjoy listening! What do you think of podcasts? Do you listen to them often and would you like to hear more from Jürgen and/or other editors? Let us know and write it in the comments!
