With Dreams, Media Molecule aims to set another milestone in digital creativity. With major titles like LittleBigPlanet or Tearaway, they have successfully embarked on this path, at least so far.
In Dreams, it should be possible for you to play and experience both the “dreams” of the developers and all the self-created dreams of the community. Here you can create your own dreams, whether they be games, art, films, music, and everything in between.
As promising as all this sounds ‒ it is still not very clear how the game is ultimately played and what exactly you are allowed to do. Even the co-founder of Media Molecule, Alex Evans, said in an interview that Dreams is hard to describe. It is a mashup of numerous personalities. It seems likely that they will present you with a canvas and brush ‒ what you do with it is up to you.
Media Molecule has confirmed that the game will support PlayStation VR.
