The Playstation VR is so in demand that some stores already charge money if you just want to try the VR headset briefly. In England, some places require up to 15 pounds for 30 minutes of VR.
A virtual reality headset like the Playstation VR is expensive, and not every player can handle the device. Therefore, it is only understandable if one wants to try the device in the store before buying it. Some retailers have noticed this and are now trying to profit from it.
For example, a shop in England advertises that you can test the Playstation VR for “only” 5 pounds for 10 minutes of usage. That is quite bold, but another shop takes the cake by offering a free test – provided you buy the thing in the end!
All in all, it seems that some sellers are trying to capitalize on the VR hype in a brazen way. All the incidents we know of come from England.
