PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is extremely popular on Steam and continues to break record numbers. It has now surpassed the survival competitor ARK and is approaching the market leader H1Z1 – King of the Kill.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the battle royale MMO shooter from Bluehole, the creators of TERA, and the pro modder “PlayerUnknown,” achieved phenomenal sales numbers shortly after its launch on Steam. However, these numbers are less valuable than the long-term concurrent user counts.
These are also numerous in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and are what keeps the battle royale shooter game steadily climbing the charts on Steam.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – More players than ARK, H1Z1 still King!
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has only been on the market for a week and already has around 34,000 concurrent players (as of this news on April 3, 2017). Enough to create many exciting online battles in battle royale style. This slightly surpasses the indirect competitor ARK: Survival Evolved.
The dino survival game has only about 30,000 players on average concurrently hunting dinosaurs. However, both games together do not even gather as many players as the “King of the Kill” H1Z1 has, which regularly attracts around 75,000 players for bloody battle royale rounds.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – Potential for a big hit!
Yet, even though PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is still behind H1Z1, the good numbers speak for themselves, especially since PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is still in an early access state. If the game can maintain and further grow its high player count, it is likely to have a bright future ahead.
