For years, fans of the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) have hoped that Bioware will release the online game for consoles. A petition has now been started for this.

Players want SWTOR on PS4 and Xbox One
Star Wars on console. Many fans of SWTOR believe that the MMORPG would work very well on the PS4 and Xbox One. In the meantime, there are now also some MMOs on consoles that are running quite successfully.
Why is there no console version? Bioware developed SWTOR for PC. At that time, it was not considered to possibly port it for PlayStation or Xbox One. All systems were therefore optimized for PC, including the UI and controls. A completely new UI and a new control method would need to be developed for Star Wars: The Old Republic to be playable on consoles.
A petition aims to persuade Bioware. Since so many fans still wish for a console version of SWTOR – also because not every Star Wars fan owns a PC, a petition has now been started. With this, the developers are to be persuaded to finally release the MMORPG on PS4 and Xbox One. Whether this will be successful remains to be seen in the stars of a galaxy far, far away… Here is the petition.
Bioware is continually developing the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic and will focus on PvP content this summer.
