In The Division 2, players are currently using a glitch that grants them incredible damage numbers. With this over-buff, agents are heading into the toughest missions to farm Exotics.
What’s happening in the loot shooter? In The Division 2, agents are actively playing through the first season and the new endgame after the big “Warlords of New York” expansion.
Players have encountered a glitch that is currently spreading within the community. This error allows players to push their damage numbers to incredible heights.
Update March 24: This morning, maintenance took place that eliminated the annoying season reset. In a post on Twitter, the developers stated that they are aware of the new DPS glitch and are working on it. However, they did not provide a specific date for a fix.
Agents farm Exotics with damage in the millions
What are the effects? With this artificial power buff in hand, agents run through the hardest missions of the game, surprising regular bullet sponges with an immense amount of damage.
The glitch is especially favored for farming Exotics. According to some players, they have far too low drop rates, and unscrupulous agents run through lines of elite enemies in search of the next Exo shot.
How does it work? It has something to do with a stationary turret. After correctly executing some actions, you have much more damage on your weapons, and you can even see this in the stats.
The missions can then be approached completely normally, only the damage is significantly increased. In videos, you can see rifles with damage of 2.2 million per shot. And there’s even more to come.
Should I use this? Always be cautious with such things. Here you can secure a clear advantage that allows you to acquire good gear faster, potentially undermining an important aspect of the game.
If the developers at Massive are aware of the problem, bans could happen quickly. Your Division account could be suspended, perhaps even permanently.
Is a patch coming? The glitch is spreading rapidly in the community, and a fix is expected. However, we do not know what is behind it, and perhaps a quick solution is not possible at all.
However, it is expected that the developers will comment on this soon and remove the DPS glitch. Moreover, according to some agents, there are issues affecting Division 2 on all fronts right now. Some even demand that Massive puts the planned content on hold so that the developers have time to fix their game.
Division 2 has suffered from several bugs and glitches since its release over a year ago:
- Something similar to the current damage issue, used to be possible with armor
- With the Exo holster, you could shove thousands of rounds into the magazine
- For a while, there was a placeholder bug that cost up to 50% of damage
