The MMORPG Tibia Online is known for incorporating puzzles that players have to chew on for a long time. At the end of February, a Spanish player managed to solve a puzzle that was introduced in July 2017. In the end, however, he stands directly in front of the next challenge.
What was this puzzle? The Summer Update 2017 introduced the Museum of Tibian Arts into the game. This is a place where strange things happen.
While the first floor looks like a normal museum, the statues come to life starting from the second level at night. The museum then turns into a kind of puzzle dungeon.
- There is a skeleton that changed when you stepped on it
- There are several mysterious skulls
- There is a room with two thrones
- Some monsters drop blood samples
For years, players could not figure out how all of this was connected. A Spaniard, along with his friends, has now solved the puzzle and was teleported to a new room where a demon and a chest were waiting. And a new puzzle.

A second skull remained undiscovered for a long time
Why did the solution take so long? Players quickly found out that they had to bring blood samples from monsters to a skull in the basement. There, they received a broken compass for a quest.
Although the puzzle dungeon appeared overall unsolved and there were clues pointing to further puzzles, players already left the museum with a reward.
Only now has the Spaniard discovered that there is a second skull next to one of the thrones. If you also provide this skull with a blood sample, the teleport occurs.
So what is the problem now? In the final chest of the puzzle, there is another blood sample. It is still unclear what this will be used for. Players have solved one puzzle but stand directly in front of the next one.
This is not unusual for Tibia either. Some stories and puzzles span many years. A door that had been closed for 12 years was also opened a few years ago. Otherwise, the now 25-year-old MMORPG remains very mysterious.
