These are the best items: In the Wolcen subreddit, a phase has just broken out where the most successful players want to show what they have. Either pictures of their own hero are posted, who looks like a superhero through the cosmetic feature, or they show their best loot: my axe, my dagger, my armor.
Time and again, players post pictures of their “best piece”, a legendary item with particularly strong values. Here we show you some of the top 3 items from the recent past.
Best Items in Wolcen
Axe for brutal bleeding damage: A player showed a battle axe that is fully geared towards damage. The weapon has 3 damage modifiers for increased physical and toxic damage. It also inflicts increased material damage (i.e., physical damage, bleeding, and poison damage).
The axe also has 3 bleeding gems socketed and increases the chance to apply material ailments by 337%. The level 187 item is apparently ideal for the overpowered Bleeding-Edge build . The properties of the item complement each other in harmonious synergy.
A nasty dagger: This dagger serves a similar function as the powerful axe. It also fully focuses on bleeding damage and crit.
The weapon also provides 5% life leech, increases critical damage and the chance to critically hit.
One invulnerable, please: The next player presents a strong chest armor. Although it only has level 106, it makes players immediately tanky.
The stats on the armor are designed to avoid a lot of damage. With 65 ferocity and 24% cooldown reduction, it also contributes to the offense.
Crafting becomes powerful in the end game of Wolcen
How do players get such strong items? When asked how players obtain these great items, they say: through crafting. Many attempts are necessary to achieve such results.
In the end game, the “Champion of Stormfall” mode allows for increasing the rarity tier and the star quality of an item by unlocking and enhancing the “Dark Markets”. This seems to be the key to these item monsters, as players say.
The player who crafted the axe says (via reddit):
- He received the weapon with 4 properties (i.e., as a rare item)
- then upgraded the rarity tier to legendary
- gave the weapon 3 sockets and inserted a gem with physical damage 3 times, then used the ethereal reagent “Eribean Tear” to achieve the 337% material ailment chance
- and in the end, he increased the quality of the axe 3 times to reach 5 stars
Is there also a dark side to the story: Apparently, there are some exploits in Wolcen that allow players to dupe crafting materials, or trick items in some other way.
Therefore, there is suspicion that these great items were created using “duped materials” or other tricks. However, the player who crafted the axe says that he obtained his materials honestly. The key is to farm efficiently.
