After the launch of the action RPG Cyberpunk 2077 went disastrously, some players are requesting refunds. They received their money back, but they are allowed to keep the game at least for now.
Why are players requesting refunds? When Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10, it quickly became clear that it was plagued by numerous bugs and technical issues. Especially the versions for PS4 and Xbox One still do not run smoothly even today, which is why buyers demanded refunds. Sony even removed the PS4 version of Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store. The refunds have now been initiated.

What are players saying about the refunds? Several buyers of Cyberpunk 2077 report on the website VICE that they received their money very quickly after filling out the online refund form. So there is no reason to complain.
However, some are puzzled that while they received their money, they are still allowed to keep Cyberpunk 2077. This is even true for the collector’s edition, which costs around 250 US dollars. Customers report this for both the digital version and the disc version.
I was surprised that I didn’t have to return the collector’s edition. So I still have everything. As a customer, I feel that they have ‘made it right’. Just prove your purchase and you will get your money back.

Can players really keep Cyberpunk 2077? Normally, a refund of the purchase price is also associated with the return of the corresponding product. Why players are allowed to keep Cyberpunk 2077 even though they have already received their money back is unclear.
Those who filled out the online form from CD Projekt Red for the refund were informed that they must return the game. When this was to happen was not mentioned.
