Since the latest update 1.09 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, more and more players are reporting that they are not receiving experience points. This disrupts their progress. However, they have already found solutions.
This is the problem: Since update 1.09 for Modern Warfare was released, some players on reddit and also here on MeinMMO report that they are no longer receiving experience points.
Since the patch 1.09, I have not been getting XP anymore. This really sucks. I hope they fix it before the weekend officially starts.

They complete matches, but in the end, they receive neither experience points for their player progress nor for the weapon levels. Some are just a few XP before leveling up and never reach it.
Since when has this been the case? Reports have been increasing since update 1.09 went live. Some players, however, state that this has been the case before. Possibly the hotfix from Tuesday is to blame.
Affected are users on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, the exact cause is still unknown. For now, it means: wait and see.
Temporary solution: switch weapons for XP
Here’s how to fix the issue: On reddit, it is repeatedly pointed out that there is a workaround if experience points are missing. According to players, it helps to simply switch the weapon in the loadout.
To do this, go to the multiplayer menu and open your equipment, where you can also find the gunsmith feature. Switch your primary weapon to another one and back again. For safety, you can also switch your secondary weapon.
Afterward, you should normally receive experience points again for both your level and for the weapon tiers.
In our tests, the bug did not occur. Therefore, we cannot currently verify the solution ourselves.
When will a fix come? So far, there have been no new tweets on the channels of Infinity Ward or Communications Manager Ashton Williams. It is also still unclear how many people are actually affected.
Since a hotfix/patch and an update have already been released this week, a solution to the problem could come soon, provided more players are affected.
