In Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, players have found a new way to “cheese” the boss in the new raid easily. This works with a technique that already worked with the very first raid boss in Destiny 1.
Which boss is being referenced? We are talking about the Consecrated Mind Natur-Sol, the boss, or rather its precursor, in the new Shadowkeep raid “Garden of Salvation”. This consists of four phases, in which Guardians must face various mechanics.
If they do it right, they can make life a little easier for themselves in phase 3 and almost effortlessly get their loot.
Here’s how Guardians push him off the map: The trick only works in the third phase of the boss fight. Here, the boss, a Vex Hydra or Harpy, continuously floats through narrow corridors with no ground beneath them.
Players need to chase him through these corridors and shoot the right eyes off while some teammates try to take down the boss’s defenses. Meanwhile, they must fend off other enemies.
However, if a Hunter with the upper skill of the Nightstalker uses his smoke grenade while the mind is near a tunnel at the edge, there is a chance that the boss will float directly and a bit confused toward the smoke.
If he reaches it, he will be briefly disoriented and then simply fall into the void. Note that this method does not always succeed.
Is the fight over then? The fight does not end at this point. You still have to make it into the damage phase for the game to recognize that the boss is dead. So you will still need to defend the conflux and collect the Gambit particles – however, you now have a much easier life since the annoying boss has fallen into the abyss.

While the trick doesn’t make the section trivial, the loot is noticeably easier to obtain. If that seems too easy, you can also try to master the Garden of Salvation with just three players.
“Cheese” gets its name from the first Destiny end boss
Therefore, the trick is known: The new technique has received the humorous nickname “The Atheon Cheese” in the community. The name comes from the first end boss of any raid in Destiny, Atheon in the Glass Chamber.
Here, Guardians could push the boss back with Solar Grenades and eventually throw him off the map. He would then die immediately and reward players with his loot, which they otherwise would have had to earn the hard way.
A similar trick also existed in the Forsaken raid Last Wish, where players could push a boss around.
Do you want to try the “cheese” as well? Or are you preparing properly instead? Do you also feel nostalgic about this tactic?
