Nintendo has developed an exclusive title for its new console “Nintendo Switch 2” that will particularly make fans of Bloodborne drop their jaws to the floor. The Duskbloods is supposed to be a new game from the FromSoftware developers, and the similarity to Soulsborne cannot be denied.
What exactly is The Duskbloods? The new title from the game studio FromSoftware is said to be a PvPvE game that clearly focuses on multiplayer, similar to Elden Ring: Nightreign. In total, up to 8 players can compete against each other or fight together against enemies. You take on the role of one of the “Twilight Bloodlines,” beings who have gained superhuman powers through the power of their special blood.
The art style and story strongly resemble Bloodborne. One might think Duskbloods is a sequel, but it is a new brand that is supposed to be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2. After the reveal, fans already had enough time to react to the game, but what are the opinions of the fans?

How have fans reacted to the new title? With mixed feelings. Many players were astonished and immediately thought of a sequel or prequel to Bloodborne. The excitement for a successor was immense, especially among those who have been waiting for 10 years. However, when the Nintendo exclusivity was revealed, the players’ excitement dampened. When will the game be released? The Duskbloods is set to release in 2026. A specific date is not known. Since the game will only be available on the Switch, fans of FromSoftware games will be forced to purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 if they want to try it out.
Even with Bloodborne, the exclusivity was not well received by fans of the genre – especially by PC players. Now that The Duskborn is also focusing on exclusivity, it is yet another disappointment for many fans.
