In Path of Exile 2, many players have now reached a point where they continue to upgrade and improve their gear and builds. One particular type of item annoys them greatly.
Which item is it? The belts in Path of Exile 2 are currently a hot topic among the community. Unlike the predecessor of Path of Exile 2, these belts provide space for so-called charms.
These charms are helpers in battle and can save the player from a stun once or provide increased resistance to an element, for example. They are meant to replace the aid flasks from the first part and are therefore an important part of the character.
However, to carry more charms at once, you need the right belt. The problem is: whether a belt has more than one slot for a charm is random. So, anyone wanting a belt with three slots for charms needs a lot of luck. The players know this and are now calling for a change.

What are the players demanding? Just because a belt must have other suitable attributes in addition to charm slots to be useful, the community wishes for a timely adjustment.
On Reddit, players are calling for a change to the modifiers of the belts. Ideally, each belt should randomly have 1 to 3 charms every time. It should not be left to chance whether there is more than one slot, but rather how many slots it has.
This system already exists in several other places in the game. For example, with the elemental rings, which offer a random amount of resistances to elements. While the amount varies from ring to ring, it is always present.
What do the players say about it? Many are not even aware that the mechanic works this way. One of them is GaryOakRobotron. He writes on Reddit: “At the start of the game, I thought that higher-tier belts would have a greater number of spell slots.”
kodutta7 also agrees on Reddit: “I think we all felt that. I was so confused when I reached level 80 and still had not seen 2 charm slots.”
The user NoNoNo290 seems to be familiar with the developers’ stance, stating on Reddit: “We never received ms [editor’s note: movement speed] as a guaranteed feature, so I don’t think we’ll ever get something like that on belts.”
Meanwhile, the charm slots have already become a meme. The user I_Am-Awesome jokes on Reddit about receiving a double belt consisting of two overlapping belts that still only provides one slot for charms.
There have been complaints about loot in Path of Exile 2 before. The developers listened and improved it directly in the next patch.
