The quest may unintentionally spoil things for you
Why are players warning about the quest? After players heavily criticized the second color slot, Final Fantasy XIV is facing new criticism. Players are now warning about the quest Once a Riddler, Now a Ruler
because you might spoil things against your will.
In the quest, as the name suggests, you need to find locations based on puzzles. The quest carries a plot twist that spoils the story for you if you have not yet completed the main quest in the area.
Without going into detail about the spoiler, the quest reveals who the dawn servant will be, even before the ceremony has taken place.
How have players reacted to the spoiler? In a post on Reddit, the user “st_wolfgang” initially warned about the quest. Other users found it hard to believe at first, like the user “Froman951”.
Some users hope that the “problem” will be fixed, as noted by the user “MajorPom” on Reddit, to prevent more players from being spoiled.
User “Adzx93” mentions on Reddit that this is exactly why he always finishes the main story first. Other users, however, do not understand this point, as such spoilers either do not occur at all or are not closely related to the main quest.
