For some time now, Guardians in Destiny 2 can try their hand at the toughest PvE challenge, the Grandmaster Nightfalls. Some players seem to find them not challenging enough. Therefore, they just complete it in a few minutes.
What are Grandmaster Nightfalls? The new top activity for PvE was introduced back in April. It is a higher difficulty level than the already tricky Nightfalls, specifically: for the Trials.
The recommended power level for the new challenge is 1100, meaning it is only intended for the best-equipped Guardians. Below level 1075, you cannot start the challenge at all.
The challenge is so tough that it cannot be completed without communication and coordination. In a team, you must coordinate very well, and the challenge is primarily designed to offer interesting content for streamers, even though anyone can participate – if they are tough enough.
Grandmaster Nightfall in under 4 minutes – Here’s how it works
What have the players achieved? In a new video, a group of three players completed this new difficulty in record time. The team around YouTuber and streamer Ehroar took just about 3 minutes and 30 seconds for their run.
However, they did cheat a bit and simply ignored many enemies. You can see the run here in the embedded video:
How did they manage that? The three players all played as Hunters and all with the Nightstalker specialization. This allowed them to become invisible, making many enemies simply ignore them or just not see them.
In addition, they had an exotic helmet that was introduced with “Curse of Osiris”: the Graviton Forfeit. This increases the duration of invisibility effects. This way, they split up, and each completed specific tasks while remaining cloaked.
For damage, they used the Falling Guillotine, one of the swords from Season 11, which is considered particularly strong. They dismantled the final boss in a short time with it.
Can this be done solo? In another video, YouTuber Esoterickk shows how he completes the Grandmaster Nightfall solo in under 6 minutes. He uses the same technique to bypass enemies and ultimately kill the boss with a grenade launcher and his super while staying in cover.
If you want to try such a speed run yourself, keep in mind that the reward isn’t particularly high. Due to the many enemies skipped, there was only a bronze chest, but normally players need half an hour or longer to complete the Nightfall at all.
However, it is a nice change of pace, for example, from PvP, if you are constantly being destroyed by players there.
