Season 4 is currently exciting players in Diablo 4. According to fans, the best feature so far is the new Hellflaze, as things really heat up now and you can farm almost everything you need. However, this “almost” is a problem for later, as one player notes.
This is why Hellflazes are so good right now:
- With Season 4, there have been numerous changes, especially to loot and Hellflazes. You can find all the info about Season 4 in our overview.
- Hellflazes now have significantly more enemies and a new challenge: If you slay enough monsters, Hell champions will hunt you down, and you can summon a new boss.
- In the flares, you get not only a lot of loot, but also the most XP per hour in the game. Ideal for farming, as they are even available from World Tier 1. Players love the new Hellflazes.
What is the problem? In fact, the revamped feature solves almost all the problems players have. In particular, the annoying grind for certain aspects is now a thing of the past; it’s even said: “This changes Diablo completely.”
The user markgatty on Reddit explains that he played for 14 hours and reached level 80 solely through Hellflazes. That is, in XP terms, halfway to level 100. Markgatty says he just had a lot of fun and therefore kept going:
I wonder if I am leveling too quickly; time just flew by, and I was at level 54 in World Tier 4 (is that due to the changes this season, or is the Necro just that good?) Shortly after I was in WT4, I took down a world boss that gave me a 925 weapon, which is making killing stuff easier than intended.
His problem now is: all his glyphs are still at level 1. Because you can still only upgrade them in Nightmare Dungeons, albeit at significantly better XP rates. Markgatty also doesn’t yet know what build he wants to play in the end.
“The Hellflaze makes everything else redundant”
Although the Hellflazes are well received, markgatty’s comment sparked a discussion with hundreds of users. It was directly stated: “And guys like you wonder why they have nothing to do after a week.”
However, that was not the point of his post at all. He just had fun and was only wondering if he might be too efficient. Positive feedback doesn’t have to be forcefully turned into something negative.
Another user argues that such a good Hellflaze could actually be a problem. Dungeons, Legion events, Nightmare Dungeons, all of these offer less XP, less loot, and you generally approach bosses later.
Others agree and say: They are a bit afraid that they won’t want to play anymore in a few weeks, even though the grind is currently really fun. For others, however, that is enough – or they finally have the chance to try out more builds.
Then again, no one has really delved into the new dungeon “The Pit” yet. The dungeon plays somewhat like a Greater Rift from Diablo 3; you have to slay demons against the clock and defeat a boss at the end.
