In Valheim, players have built a secret room in their house and used it as a hideout. The principle behind it is very simple.
What kind of room is this? In a video, a Valheim player is seen walking through his team’s house and simply walking through a wall. He then walks down a staircase and arrives in a kind of bathroom with a table full of drinks and food. In this hideout, he sits in the water and enjoys his time.
How does the secret wall work? At the spot where the player walks through the wall, pieces of fences can be seen. With the Gizmo mod (via Thunderstore), these fence pieces can be rotated and then attached sideways to the ground. It looks as if there is a solid wall in that spot. However, the player can simply walk through. Chairs can also serve as entrances to hideouts in Valheim.
Player 16bitfighter explains it this way:
We used Gizmo. The mod allows you to rotate a regular fence piece sideways. Then, it is pushed halfway into the ground with guide rods and “snapped” together.

What is a hideout good for? Such a secret room can be used for various purposes. For example, players could store their treasures there or hide from enemies. A treasure chamber that is not immediately recognizable as such might be appealing to some Valheim players.
Of course, OutdoorAdventurer is right. The secret is no longer a secret. You basically just have to look for walls that look like in the video above. It should be clear that there is a hidden room behind it. But first, every player needs to know the trick with the fences.
