The loot shooter Outriders frustrates its players with too little legendary loot. As the chance for the coveted legendaries is so low that even at higher difficulty levels there is not enough loot, some players have turned to cheats to increase the drop rate.
What is happening in Outriders right now? Loot is the be-all and end-all of a loot shooter, and the shooter hit Outriders offers its players too little loot, they find. It specifically concerns the coveted items of the “legendary” rarity tier. These were even provided unrequested for players who never had legendaries, but in general, these items are extremely rare.
Players desperately try to acquire these items in “Expeditions”, the endgame content of Outriders. What are players doing against the drought of loot? Posts are increasingly appearing on reddit and elsewhere that offer so-called “trainers.” These are cheat programs that increase the chances of good loot. Compared to more severe cheats, which flatten your enemies immediately or deliver any loot item directly to you, these trainers are still relatively harmless.
They only increase the drop chance for legendary items in expeditions. You then receive a legendary item for every elite enemy in an expedition. Nevertheless, using such trainers is cheating, and even though Outriders does not have a competitive PvP mode where such cheats would be an advantage, cheating is still not advisable. The risk of a ban and the loss of all progress is ultimately too great.
