Fortnite: Battle Royale has made some changes to the game with Update 17. This includes an adjustment in the game mode Team Rumble. However, that does not sit well with many players.

What has changed? In Season 7 of Chapter 2 in Fortnite, there were many updates. One affects the Team Rumble game mode. In it, 2 teams of over a dozen players compete to be the first to reach 150 eliminations. Dead players respawn after 5 seconds with their existing gear, which ensures intense action.

However, with the update, a subtle detail has changed that upends the entire mode. Now the storm, which limits the play area, starts moving across the map right from the beginning of the game. This brings movement into the game but also prevents players from being able to look around in peace or even complete specific challenges at special locations.

However, these challenges were a main reason why many players used the mode at all. With the new storm behavior, it becomes much harder and sometimes completely impossible.

Players demand “Revert the change”

What is the mood in the community? Those who now want to complete challenges in Team Rumble might find themselves stuck in a match, unable to enter the desired locations at all or not for long enough. And even if someone just wants to shoot, they are often thwarted because there simply isn’t enough time to grind a decent loadout.

This frustrates many players from the community, and they are demanding, via the hashtag #Revertteamrumble on Twitter and in various threads on reddit, that Epic immediately reverts this change, which they see as silly. Even a petition has been started to urge Epic to revert the unpopular change. Here are some voices from the community:

• Der Marcl: ‘The new season in Fortnite is really good so far… except for one exception. What happened to Team Rumble?! As a casual, I only played TR, but since the new update, this mode just becomes trash. What a shame.’
• Darien Versio: ‘Please, change Team Rumble back, it was good as it was, the changes have ruined the whole mode!’
• Tristin: ‘This new version of Team Rumble is just bad. Please revert these changes or make it a separate mode, it really feels like I’m being pushed out of a game I love (and pay for), because you’ve taken away my favorite way to play.’
• Thalapathy Fan: ‘Why did you change Team Rumble? It was literally the best game mode for us average and bad players to tackle challenges without dealing with the try-hard sweats. Looks like Fortnite is an official game for sweats now.’

So let’s hope that Epic has a heart for the players and brings back their old mode in Team Rumble soon. However, not all changes and innovations in Season 7 of Chapter 2 in Fortnite are unwanted.
