Destiny 2 has been around for many years. The game itself and its already released DLCs are often a topic in the community. This time, there is a discussion about which DLC was the best, and Forsaken is not it for a specific reason.
The best DLC is supposed to be another one: In Destiny 2, there have been many smaller expansions at the beginning. These were not very successful and forced the loot shooter to rethink. For this reason, the Guardians were given four major DLCs, which are named as follows:
- Forsaken
- Release: September 2018
- Shadowkeep
- Release: October 2019
- Beyond Light
- Release: November 2020
- The Witch Queen
- Release: February 2022
While many Guardians would now bet on Forsaken when it comes to the best DLC, players on reddit agree and clearly say: The Witch Queen is the winner. Why Savathûn is winning, however, has a clear reason.
The Witch Queen offers what players are looking for – Difficulty
Some Guardians will most likely jump up now and wonder why the Witch Queen is better. There is a very good reason for this, and that is the story. More so, it is the difficulty and its implementation.
On reddit, the user KeybirdYT shares his thoughts and states that the Witch Queen is the best DLC thanks to its challenging campaign. However, it is not just KeybirdYT who thinks this. The post enjoys a total of 4,800 upvotes (as of November 2, 2022) with much support.
Meanwhile, reddit user SunshineInDetroit says: “I love how the legendary campaign scaled more challenging in a fireteam.” But not only that. The implementation of difficulty has also been praised. The most challenging activities in Destiny 2 have champion enemies added to be difficult.
These are not only annoying but restrict you in your loadout. You need specific weapon mods to stop, disrupt, or penetrate these with specific weapons. Guardians had therefore feared before the release that Bungie would fill the story with these champions to make it difficult, but that was not the case.
Therefore, reddit user S1a3h says: “I really liked that they also did it without champions. It felt good to just use what I felt like using instead of: ‘Whatever you want, but only these 3 weapon types.'”
Forsaken is still a prime example: Nevertheless, we must not overlook what Forsaken has shown the Guardians, namely a variety of new activities. Never before has the loot shooter been provided with so many cool modes at once that even the Guardians enjoyed. These include Gambit, the Forge, the Black Armory, and the Menagerie.
There are many positive changes to be noted in the individual DLCs that make each expansion unique. It remains to be seen whether Lightfall or even Final Shape will take the step to adopt all positive aspects and offer the Guardians an overall experience they dream of.

Do you also know the most beautiful emblem in Destiny 2? It is only awarded by a streamer, and the community does not like that at all.
