One such character is Jaheira from Baldur’s Gate 3. When a player decided to change her outfit, he experienced a pleasant surprise – he did not expect to encounter such impressive details.

Varicose veins, cellulite, wrinkles, and age spots – all these details are integrated into Jaheira’s appearance. The attention to detail reflected in her outer appearance is remarkable, giving her a realistic, aged look. Nevertheless, she radiates an unparalleled beauty and strength. This combination simply blew the player away.
On Reddit, user Glittering_Act_4059 comments on Jaheira’s body:
Jaheira – the centuries-old (??), tough warrior – receives the best body in the entire game. Varicose veins, cellulite, wrinkles, age spots – the love for detail with which her age is depicted, while also conveying the impression that she can really fight as well as she does, blows me away.
And what a great message does this give to players? That your body doesn’t have to be perfect, but can still be strong, powerful, and beautiful.
Larian […] could have given her the same beauty standards that so many characters have. Instead, they designed her in a way that allows players to identify with her, which I never expected.
