While Valve released the VR game Half Life: Alyx in 2020, it only partially satisfied waiting fans. It was not the long-awaited third installment of the main series.
According to insiders, Half Life 3 has long been in development and has reached a point where an official announcement is not too far away.

Which insider are we talking about? First, there is the insider Gabe Follower, who publishes YouTube videos . He was correct with his information last year regarding Valve’s Deadlock. According to him, the development of Half Life 3 is already advanced and not at the very beginning anymore.
Playable versions have already been given to staff and even family members of the team. These playtests go by the codename HLX, which supposedly stands for Half Life 3. At this stage of development, it is checked how well the game functions so far. Significant changes may be made in response to criticism. In the case of Deadlock, the character design was revised based on Gabe Follower’s reports, while in Half Life: Alyx the story was modified.
According to the insider, the development of Half Life 3 has progressed to the point where an announcement in 2025 cannot be ruled out. However, he is not the only one providing hints in this regard.
Who has further information? The voice actor Mike Shapiro lent his voice to the G-Man from Half Life in the past. The mysterious character has become iconic, largely due to his appearance and that voice.
On x.com, Mike Shapiro recently shared a cryptic video. In it, details of a painting can be seen and Shapiro, as G-Man, speaks of “unexpected surprises” awaiting us. He uses the hashtags #Valve, #HalfLife, #GMan, and #2025.
All of this suggests that there may be some truth to the information. The voice actor is giving hints that are at least highly suspicious.
